Hybrid technology

The possibilities of hybridization of solar-thermal power generation with other renewable or fossil power generation technologies open up a wide field of plant concepts for power generation resulting in a more continuous and, thus, more stable power generation, a reduction of specific emissions, an increased share of renewable energies in the energy mix, a reduction in the consumption of fossil energy sources and, in individual cases, even a reduction in the power generation costs (e.g. hybridization of diesel-based generation of electric power in remote regions).
