Solar Tower

Solar tower power plants feature hundreds or even thousands of mirrors, so-called heliostats. They follow the course of the sun and concentrate the radiation onto a centrally located receiver in which a process medium is heated to create steam for a steam turbine process. The receiver is located on top of a tower to avoid that the mirrors stand in each other’s way.

TSK Flagsol is using a wide range of computer based simulation software, partly in-house developments partly created by internationally renowned research institutes, for high-precision performance predictions. Our general CSP experience together with the know-how of technology providers for heliostat and receiver solutions, makes us highly competitive.
