The linear Fresnel collectors have flat mirror facets concentrating the sun rays. The mirror facets are linked in a way to create long and moveable rows of mirrors. Several such rows of mirrors focus the sunlight onto a fixedly installed absorber tube in which water is converted to steam. This water steam drives a conventional steam turbine and generates electricity this way.
At present, the Fresnel technology is still in its development phase and TSK Flagsol is not directly involved in this process. If the technology allows being developed to be ready for commercial use, TSK Flagsol will take this technology into consideration for operating its solar-thermal power plants.
