Flagsol's core business is comprised of the construction of solar fields and turn-key parabolic trough power plants using our own parabolic technology. Moreover, Flagsol GmbH offers consultancy services and various products and components of this technology. The business segments of project development, O&M management and equity investments in power plants are closely tied to the plant construction business. As a joint venture owned by Solar Millennium AG and Ferrostaal AG, Flagsol has access to the expertise of the two parent companies in both financing and construction of large industrial plants, especially in the sector of renewable energy.
Flagsol offers:
- Preparation of documents, applications for construction and installation permits and environmental impact assessment
- Site qualification, technological and economic feasibility analyses of parabolic trough plants according to IEA, Worldbank/GEF LEC and incremental cost models
- Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) and site services for the turnkey procurement and construction of the entire solar thermal power plant including the collector field, heat transfer system, thermal storage and power block
- Project management of the solar field construction, including the specification of the assembly procedures, contracting, training and supervision of the assembly teams and quality control of the assembly
- Specification and quality control of the procurement of all solar field machinery, equipment and services
