SOLAR POWER CYCLE
DESIGN AND SOLAR FIELD ENGINEERING FROM THE COMPANY THAT IS AT THE
LEADING EDGE OF PARABOLIC TROUGH TECHNOLOGY

|

-
FLAGSOL has designed the AndaSol plants for Southern Spain, that include 510,120 m˛ of
SKAL-ET solar
field and 7.5 hours of molten salt storage. These plants are optimized for
economic operation under the Spanish Royal Decree 2818, that grants a
0.12€/kWh premium per solar thermal kWh.
-
Our specialized
engineering staff has gained long year experience in site identification
and feasibility analysis for parabolic trough plants in Brazil, Greece,
Jordan, Morocco, Spain, and US. We have developed detailed and
sophisticated economic and performance analysis tools for design and
optimization of parabolic trough solar fields and their integration
into steam and combined cycles, verified at the parabolic trough plants
in California. With this know-how base, we can offer:
-
Entire Solar Field
Engineering required for the turnkey procurement and erection of the
solar field with its collector field, heat transfer system and thermal
storage up to the interface with the Balance of Plant of the power block
-
Owner’s Project
Management for the entire solar plant including both the solar field and
the power block
-
Specification and
quality control of the procurement of all solar field machinery,
equipment and services
-
Solar Field Erection
Project Management including the specification of the assembly
procedures, contracting, training and supervision of the assembly teams
and quality control of the assembly
-
Thermal Storage
Project Management including functional specification, contracting,
erection supervision and quality control
-
Meteo Measurements and Solar Resource Assessment
-
Site Qualification and
Techno-economic Feasibility Analysis of Parabolic Trough Plants
according to IEA and Worldbank/GEF LEC and Incremental Cost Models
-
Preparation of documents and applications for
construction and installation permits of parabolic trough power plants
-
Preparation of
documents for the environmental impact assessment of parabolic power
plants
